Famous Lines from Famous Books

"In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I've been turning over in my mind ever since." This is a famous first line in the book, The Great Gatsby. This book was published in the year 1925 and was writen by F. Scott Fitzgerald who lived from 1896-1940. He was the author of The Side of Paradise, and The Beautiful Damned also. This book is about these people living in a fictional town called West Egg, and how a mysterious millionare, Jay Gatsby, and Daisy Buchanan have a love affair. Daisy had feel in love with Jay when she was younger, but he was poor growing up. Daisy had to much of a love for money, that when she meet who know is her husband she left Jay for him. Jay comes back to West Egg when he gets older and has lots of money. It is a mystery to find out how he got all his money, but Daisy starts to fall in love with him again and has a love affair. This novel is very well known and popular, and from the information I found I would love to read it. "After a while I went out and left the hospital and walked back to the hotel in the rain." This famous last line comes from the book A Farewell to Arms. It was published in the year 1927 and writen by Ernest Hemingway. Enest lived from 1899-1961, and is also known for his books, For Whom the Bell Tolls, and The Old Man and the Sea. This book is set in the World War 1 era. The author had just got out of World War 1 so he decided to write a book about it. The book is a love story between two people, American Henery, and Cathrine Barkly. It is a love story that helps explain the hardships the war put people through. I would also love to read this book becuase it is well known and has a intersting plot to a love story.
